Thomas “Tom” Irvin represents individuals and families harmed by asbestos exposure, with a particular focus on lung cancer and mesothelioma. He has recovered millions of dollars for asbestos victims and their families, helping them seek compensation and accountability from the corporations and other parties responsible.
Tom has dedicated his practice to protecting people harmed by the negligence or wrongdoing of others. His primary focus is asbestos litigation, and his practice also includes catastrophic injuries, environmental exposure, premises liability, product liability, and wrongful death. Licensed in Illinois and Missouri, he has represented clients in matters throughout the country.
Tom earned his law degree from Saint Louis University School of Law in 2014. During law school, he clerked for United States Magistrate Judge Clifford J. Proud in the Southern District of Illinois and later worked with the Organized Crime and Drug Enforcement Task Force of the United States Attorney’s Office in Fairview Heights, Illinois.
In 2014, Tom joined the Madison County State’s Attorney’s Office, where he primarily prosecuted domestic violence cases. He also helped establish the county’s first Domestic Violence Accountability Court, overseen by Judge Richard Tognarelli. His work in criminal and civil litigation has given him substantial courtroom experience and a practical understanding of the challenges victims and their families face.
Tom became an attorney to help people, particularly those facing large corporations with significant resources. He believes every person deserves a fair opportunity to be heard and a meaningful path to accountability. That belief guides his work on behalf of clients and families navigating serious illness, injury, and loss.
Tom lives in Collinsville, Illinois, with his wife, their two children, and their dog, Buddy. Outside of practicing law, he enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, and fishing.
