Kole Phelps is a personal injury attorney at OnderLaw who represents people facing serious injuries, medical malpractice, and the loss of a loved one. His practice includes motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, insurance disputes, and other matters involving people seeking compensation for harm they have suffered.
Born and raised in Southern Illinois, Kole grew up with examples of service in both law and education. His father, Kelly R. Phelps, practiced personal injury and medical malpractice law for nearly 30 years before becoming an Associate Circuit Judge for Illinois’ First Judicial Circuit. His mother, Kristin R. Jerrell, spent 35 years as a public school teacher. Their careers helped shape his decision to become an attorney and advocate for people who need support.
Kole completed his bachelor’s degree in philosophy at Webster University in three years, graduating summa cum laude in 2022. During his undergraduate years, he developed a lasting connection to Webster Groves and the greater St. Louis area. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from New England Law | Boston in 2025, where he received Dean’s List honors, became an active member of Phi Alpha Delta Legal Fraternity, and further developed his interest in personal injury and medical malpractice law.
After law school, Kole returned to St. Louis and began practicing in areas including landlord-tenant law, contract disputes, and business litigation. During his first year of legal practice, he obtained favorable verdicts in more than 30 bench trials. That experience gave him a foundation in courtroom advocacy before he transitioned to personal injury and medical malpractice.
At OnderLaw, Kole’s work reflects the motivation that first drew him to the profession: helping people pursue the compensation they deserve and advocating for those who need it most.
