Wrong-way driver kills two others on Highway B

JEFFERSON COUNTY, MO – According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, two people were killed in a three-vehicle collision on southbound Highway B, south of Elm Spring Drive.

According to the police report, the accident occurred at 3:27 p.m. when a 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue began traveling northbound in the southbound lanes. The Oldsmobile eventually hit a 2012 Hyundai Tucson head-on, sending it airborne. The Hyundai then flew into the side of a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado. 

Both the driver and an occupant of the Hyundai died from injuries at Mercy Hospital South.  The Oldsmobile’s driver sustained moderate injuries and officials transported them to Mercy Hospital South as well. 

There are no reported injuries from anyone in the third vehicle.
