JEFFERSON COUNTY, MO – According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a man’s vehicle overturned while he was attempting to avoid a turtle in the road Thursday morning.
John Sandlin, 22, was driving his 2000 Chevrolet S10 east on Glade Chapel Road at about 9:30 a.m. when he swerved to avoid a turtle in the roadway, rolling his vehicle in the process.
EMS transported Sandlin to Mercy Hospital South. His injuries are described as minor.
