WASHINGTON, MO (FRANKLIN COUNTY) – A woman was taken to the hospital after her sedan was rear-ended by another vehicle Friday afternoon in Franklin County, according to a crash report by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The incident happened around noon on Missouri Highway 100 and Route AT.
The victim is 57-year-old Colleen M. West, of Washington, Missouri. West was waiting at a red light in her 2010 Chrysler Sebring when it was struck from behind by a 2015 Toyota Corolla driven by Jovita R. Gonzalez, 65, of Union.
Both women were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash.
West was taken to the hospital for the treatment of minor injuries.
The Chrysler and Toyota received minor damage in the accident.
