A rollover crash was reported in Sweet Springs Tuesday evening.
At approximately 7:48 p.m., 57-year-old Christopher V. Pugh was driving a 2016 Freightliner north on Route YY when his vehicle veered off the roadway and overturned just south of 139th Road. Pugh sustained serious injuries and was taken to Fitzgibbon Hospital for treatment. There is no indication other vehicles caused the incident. The crash is currently under investigation.
Accidents involving tractor-trailers can result in various collateral effects, road closures and roadside damage, and can be challenging to process and clear. That said, identifying the causes of these accidents is crucial if future scenarios are to be prevented. And in cases where negligence is established, liable parties have to be apprehended and should face charges/claims from the state and those they’ve injured.
