Iron and antiqued nickel lamps pose fire risk.
Tuesday, March 10, 2020 – Restoration Hardware has issued a recall on its Camino floor lamp due to a potential fire hazard. The lamp’s foot-controlled power switch has the potential to overheat, melt, or catch fire, and people who purchased the lamps are being asked to immediately discontinue use.
According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, about 800 lamps were sold in the United States between November 2012 and December 2019. They were sold in Restoration Hardware galleries and outlets throughout the U.S., as well as through their website, restorationhardware.com for $200-$575.
Camino iron and antiqued nickel lamps are approximately 68.5 inches tall and 26 inches wide. Included with each lamp was a 12 25W flame or vintage cylinder candelabra bulb and a circular foot-controlled power switch at the base of the lamp on the electrical cord.
Restoration Hardware has received six reports of overheating or fires in the electrical switches. No injuries have been reported.

Restoration Hardware is in the process of reaching out to known purchasers to advise them of the recall. If you have purchased a Camino floor lamp from Restoration Hardware, stop using it immediately and contact them at 844-623-7500 or email recall@rh.com for a full refund.
