ST. LOUIS, MO – According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol accident report, one individual was killed and another was seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash on MO-47 north of Rye Creek Rd. The accident occurred on Tuesday the 9th, around 10:40 a.m.
According to the report, 20-year-old Taylor Newton was driving too quickly, causing her Chrystler Sebring to slide on the roadway. The vehicle then left the road, striking a sign and a tree.
Newton was taken to a nearby hospital and was pronounced dead at 2:18 p.m. The vehicle’s passenger, a 13-year-old male, was seriously injured in the crash and transported to a hospital.
