ST. LOUIS, MO – Officials with the Missouri State Highway Patrol were forced to close the right lane following a rush-hour crash on I-270 Thursday evening.
According to the official Twitter page of the Missouri Department of Transportation, the accident happened within the westbound lanes of I-270 near Riverview Drive just after 5:00 p.m. Troopers closed off the far right lane immediately following the accident causing significant delays for those traveling into downtown St. Louis.

No injuries have been reported as a result of the crash. However, an investigation into what may have caused the incident remains underway.
