WILBUR PARK, MO (ST. LOUIS COUNTY) – A 25-year-old man is dead following a motorcycle collision on Gravois Road south of St. Louis this morning, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred on westbound Gravois Road and Weber Road at 11:59 a.m., as the driver of a 2006 Mercury Grand Marquis, 27-year-old St. Louis man Michael K. Hiliard, was preparing to make a left turn.
The 25-year-old driver of a 2003 Kawasaki ZX6R motorcycle, St. Charles resident Justin M. Beger, attempted to slow down as the other vehicle was turning. The motorcycle skidded on the roadway, and then collided with the right-back side of the vehicle.
Beger, who was wearing a helmet at the time, was taken to Mercy Hospital South, and at 12:21 p.m., he was pronounced dead there.
Hiliard was not reported as injured.
