Two people injured in rear-end collision on westbound I-70

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO – Two people were injured in rear-end collision on westbound I-70 near mile marker 229.8 early Monday morning.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, 30-year-old Michael Schultz was traveling west on I-70 in a 2017 Chevrolet Equinox. He rear-ended a 2010 Infiniti M driven by 37-year-old Perry Titford. The accident happened around 4:43 a.m.

Both drivers were transported to SSM Health DePaul Hospital for minor injuries.

Schultz was wearing a seat belt. It is unknown if Titford was wearing a seat belt.

The Chevrolet was totaled and the Infiniti sustained minor damages.

Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
