FLORISSANT, MO – Four people, including a 1-year-old and 2-year-old child, were injured in a multi-vehicle wreck on I-270 this afternoon, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The accident happened in Florissant, near the 29.2 mile marker of eastbound I-270, at 12:40 p.m., after the driver of a 2006 Mercury Milan, 23-year-old St. Louis woman Jasmine N. Jackson, slowed down due to traffic congestion.
Behind her, the driver of a 2016 Chrysler 300, 33-year-old St. Louis man Kornell S. Ellis, collided with the rear of a 2017 Chevrolet Equinox driven by St. Louis resident Debra L. Nicholson, 68. The Equinox then crashed into the Milan.
Two occupants of the Chrysler, 32-year-old Jamesha L. Brister and a 2-year-old girl, both of St. Louis, were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Jackson and a passenger in her vehicle, a 1-year-old boy from St. Louis, also sustained minor injuries in the accident.
Nobody in the Equinox was reported as injured.
