ST. ROBERT, MO (PULASKI COUNTY) – An 11-year-old boy and a 25-year-old woman were injured in a multi-vehicle chain-reaction crash on I-44 in Pulaski County this morning.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened in St. Robert on westbound I-44, near mile marker 161, at 10:25 a.m., when the driver of a 1998 Pontiac Bonneville collided with the rear of a 2016 Chevrolet Equinox that had slowed for traffic up ahead.
The Equinox, driven by 24-year-old Linn woman Courtney R. Vance, then crashed into a 2008 Chrysler Town and Country operated by 43-year-old Jerri L. Ellis, of Chanute, Kansas. The impact pushed the Chrysler into a 2019 RAM 1500 driven by 34-year-old Rolla man Dustin C. Gaines.
The Pontiac, driven by 50-year-old Salem man James L. Quick, was struck by the driver of a 2019 Subaru Ascent, 66-year-old Bruce J. Buffington, of Belleville, Pennsylvania.
Two passengers in the Pontiac, 25-year-old Miranda E. Quick and an 11-year-old boy, both of Salem, were taken to the hospital in Rolla with minor injuries.
No other people were reported as hurt.
