Two St. Louis people injured in single-vehicle crash on I-55

ST. LOUIS, MO – Two St. Louis people were injured in a single-vehicle crash on southbound I-55 early Sunday morning.

Jacob C. Croley, 20, was traveling south on I-55 in a 2020 Hyundai Elantra when the vehicle traveled off the left side of the interstate, police report. The front of the Hyundai struck a concrete barrier around 2:01 a.m.

Croley and a passenger in the vehicle, 21-year-old Cheyann K. Johnson, were transported to Mercy Hospital South. Croley sustained moderate injuries and Johnson sustained minor injuries.

Neither person was wearing a seat belt.

The Hyundai was totaled.
