Two people injured in Franklin County intersection collision

BEAUFORT, MO – Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of U.S. 50 and Highway 185 on Tuesday afternoon.

Philip W. Hubenthal, 87, was traveling northbound Highway 185 when he failed to yield to a 2011 Chevrolet Cruze traveling westbound on U.S. 50, police report. The two vehicles collided around 1:51 p.m.

Both Hubenthal and the Chevrolet driver, 29-year-old Lindsey Z. Forsee, were transported to Mercy Washington Hospital. Hubenthal, of Beaufort, sustained moderate injuries and Forsee, of Gerald, sustained minor injuries.

Police report Hubenthal and Forsee were wearing seat belts.

Both vehicles sustained extensive damages.
