Two injured in Lake Saint Louis single-vehicle crash

LAKE SAINT LOUIS, MO – Two people were injured in a single-vehicle car crash Saturday morning in St. Charles County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The accident happened at 5:50 a.m. on Interstate 70, near Lake Saint Louis Boulevard, when a 2016 Nissan Altima drove off the side of the road. The Altima, operated by 23-year-old Christopher S. West, of St. Louis, then collided with two signposts.

West was taken to the hospital with minor injuries while a passenger, 23-year-old Nautica J. Gales, also of St. Louis, was transported for the treatment of serious wounds.

Neither of the victims was wearing a seatbelt when the accident happened.

The Altima was extensively damaged in the collision.
