Distracted driver rear-ends vehicle resulting in two injuries

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO – According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, two people sustained injuries after a rear-ending accident on Friday.

The accident happened at 3 p.m. westbound I-70 at Earth City Expressway, when the driver of a 2013 Toyota Corolla failed to notice a stopped 2012 Chevrolet Malibu and rear-ended the vehicle. The momentum carried the Chevrolet forward into the median.

The Toyota’s driver, 19-year-old Erik Morton, was transported to Health DePaul Hospital for moderate injuries.  The driver of Chevrolet went to Health St. Joseph Hospital Lake for their minor injuries.
