Three injured in two-vehicle crash south of Hillsboro

JEFFERSON, MO – Two cars collided on Highway 21 at Highway 10 Tuesday night when one vehicle turned left in front of the second vehicle, as reported by the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Three people were injured.

Ralph Ackerman, 43, turned left in front of 27-year-old Nicholas Jeffries and struck the front of his vehicle

Police arrived on the scene by 8:00 p.m.

Ackerman was driving a 2005 Toyota Camry. Jeffries was driving a 2018 Kia Forte. Both vehicles sustained extensively damaged in the crash.

Both drivers and a passenger were sent to Mercy Hospital South with moderate injuries.
