MURPHY, MO – A woman was seriously injured and a teenager was hurt after their vehicle was T-boned by another driver on Highway 30 on Friday night, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred on eastbound Hwy 30 and New Sugar Creek at 7:38 p.m., as 44-year-old High Ridge woman Christy A. Sturgeon, driving a 2006 Volkswagen Passat, was making a left turn at the light.
The driver of a 2015 Chevrolet Suburban, 48-year-old High Ridge resident Richard A. Fowler, then allegedly ran a red light. The front of his vehicle crashed into the right side of the Volkswagen.
Sturgeon was taken to Mercy Hospital South with severe injuries.
Her passenger, a 14-year-old girl from High Ridge, suffered moderate injuries in the crash.
Fowler was not hurt in the collision.
