Two injured in two-car crash on I-70 WB in northwest St. Louis

ST. LOUIS, MO — Two women were injured early Monday morning in a collision involving two vehicles on Interstate 70 westbound in northwest St. Louis, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The incident occurred in the westbound lanes of I-70 east of Airflight Drive and was reported by Trooper S. W. Wulser at 4:43 a.m.

A westbound 2013 Toyota Corolla was merging onto another lane when a 2014 Dodge Charger, who was not paying attention to the lane change, rear-ended the first vehicle. The front left of the Charger struck the right rear of the Corolla.

Both drivers, two women 33 years and 41 years of age respectively, suffered minor injuries and were transported to SSM Health DePaul Hospital.

No other injuries were reported.

Both vehicles sustained damages resulting in total loss.
