BUCKHORN, MO (PULASKI COUNTY) – A 25-year-old woman was hurt after she fell asleep at the wheel, then crashed in Pulaski County late last night, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred a mile and a half southwest of Buckhorn on Highway P, near Savery Lane, at 9:53 p.m., when 25-year-old St. Robert woman Heather N. Burton fell asleep while operating a 2015 Dodge Charger.
The Charger went off the right side of the roadway, then swerved to the left side, before it finally collided with an embankment.
Burton, who was reportedly wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, was taken to Phelps Health for the treatment of moderate injuries.
No other people were reported as hurt in the accident.
